We planned our time in this State Park to have time to visit with friends, Jo & Craig, of It’s Our Moment in Time. They had recently arrived there, after picking up their new Lifestyles 5th Wheel and we were anxious to see them!
The sites were huge and pull-thru’s – which was awesome! Lots of green everywhere, even in February!
The only thing we did not like was the surprise at check-in that we were going to be charged a per person entrance to the state park fee on top of the per night camping fee! I kinda flipped out and they ended up only charging me for one of us. I wouldn’t have minded too much, but it was $5 per person per day! Not to overstate the obvious, but that turned a very reasonable $22 per night into $32 per night! I was still not happy about $27 per night, but I felt at that point I had little choice. So – something to be aware of! Jo & Craig didn’t even really know about it b/c they are TX residents and don’t have to pay that additional fee.
