North Fort Myers *UpRiver RV Resort* Jan 2015

We chose this campground b/c friends of ours were already staying here.   We wanted to stay in south FL where it was warm, but couldn’t afford to stay in the Keys longer than we already had.

there wasn't enough room at the site for both vehicles, so we parked the truck on the side, was only half a block away.

This was a nice campground, lots of seasonal/permanent sites, some along a canal that come with boat docks.  The streets are paved and well-maintained.  The sites are level and on days it rained, they drained well, not a lot of mud. The sites were tight together, but not too small, and have nice grass and picnic tables.  There are also super-sites, which are HUGE and pull-thru.  Another nice thing is they allow you to wash your rig at your site, which is not very common.  There is a dog park, but sadly it isn’t well maintained.  They did have a pool and a hot tub, which we went down to use one evening, but it closed at dusk.  Oh well!  They also offered a lot of activities, and on Mondays a local farmer brought their fresh produce for purchase.

Our friends had a site on the canal and they had a small boat they docked there, which made it very easy to go out on the river.  There is a very nice walking trail behind the CG that we walked on a few times.  It was very peaceful and had lots of birds to watch.

All utilities worked great, water, electric and cable.  There was wifi, which was hit or miss, but our Verizon signal was good so we used that.  I was told wifi was better at the office, but who wants to go sit at the office?

This place is a “Like ‘Em” and we would stay again when in the area.
