We learned of this park from fellow RV Dreamers, Deb & Steve, of Down the Road. They had made the trek across the FL panhandle and through the gulf states, and Bill & I were following the same route, so we got some CG advice from them!
This is a very nice park, large sites and reasonably priced when compared to commercial CG’s in the area. There isn’t sewer on site, but a dump station is conveniently located in the park.
We stayed at this park the week before Marti Gras and it was fairly full, even had a caravan staying.
Within a few miles of the CG, we were able to purchase freshly caught shrimp and take an airboat ride.
On the advice from other RV Dreamers, Ben & Jo, we didn’t drive our truck into New Orleans, but instead parked on the south side of the river and took the ferry over, which worked out very well.
Here is a link that describes our time staying at this park – we loved it and would stay again! Bayou Signette State Park There is a lot of other info in this post, about other places, but it’s all good!
