This was our second stay at a Thousand Trails Campground. It worked out well choosing our own site this time, it was a larger park than Lynchburgh and we choose a site on the end with no one on our door side.
This campground offers a lot of amenities and is a great place if you have younger kids. They have an indoor water park area, an indoor pool, a very nice outdoor pool, mini golf, and a par 3 – 9 hole golf course to putt around on. The whole place is very clean and well maintained. It is surrounded on 3 sides by the Conestoga River.
In spite of all the great amenities, we didn’t have much Verizon signal at all. It was actually BAD. We could make phone calls and text, but using data was near impossible! They offer wifi, but you have to pay for it – and we didn’t. They offer cable for a fee, but we didn’t get it. We didn’t get a single channel on the bat-wing.
It is however near a lot of things to do in Lancaster County PA, the heart of Amish Country. The city of Lancaster is very nearby, with lots of restaurants and little shops. We stayed here b/c it is very close to our son and his fiance, and not far from our last “home base” and therefore near friends.
I am sure we will be going back here again, especially as long as we are Thousand Trails members.
