I hesitated to actually “review” or include this CG, mostly b/c we didn’t stay here with our rig, however, we stayed the night withfriends and spent a lot of time (more than some one nighters I’ve talked about) so I decided to tell you about it.
This is a City of Seward CG, and, as the name implies, is right on the waterfront of Resurrection Bay. It is another typical AK CG, a gravel lot with lines, no hook-ups (unless you come with a caravan and stay in the spots only they can get), but there is a water fill and dump station.
Our friends, Steven & Linda, stayed here for 2 weeks and loved every minute of it. There is plenty of places to walk to, and as you will see when checking out the post I’ve linked below, the views are the BEST! Bill and I stayed overnight with them for the famous Seward 4th of July celebrations! We had considered bringing our rig down for a few days, but spots were filled up early! Steven & Linda arrived about 8 or so days before the 4th and backed into a spot not right on the water, thankfully, a day or two later, a spot right on the water became available and they snatched it! To be clear – all the spots have great views, but they wanted to be right next to the water, can’t say I blame them! They were able to sit outside their coach and have a front row seat to watch the boats (including cruise ships) go in and out and watch the otters playing.
