Atlanta area *Stone Mountain State Park Campground* Nov 2014

We stayed at this campground while visiting family in the Atlanta area.

The only real downside to this park is that if anyone wants to come visit you at your site, they have to pay the state park entrance fee, which I believe is $10 per car.

Since we were spending most of our time with family outside the park, we didn’t really take advantage of all they have there.  You can check it out on their website, it looked like there was a lot of activities for families, but there are fees involved.

The campground itself is beautiful and large and has really nice sites.  We were in a nice back-in spot that had a slightly obstructed view of the lake.  It was plenty big and nicely laid out.  We had plenty of space to spread out and have family come visit for a campfire.  I am adding that we stayed in site #6 b/c I was asked and that is important, especially in this CG, b/c some sites are smaller and not as nice I guess.

We used our “batwing” for TV and we got a great signal and lots of channels.  We also had a great Verizon signal, which we used for our wifi and also streamed some Walking Dead.  The water pressure was good.

This is definitely a “Like ‘Em” campground!

    1. Thanks for reading! I hadn’t considered that either, so I thought I would mention it. I doubt we would have went anywhere else, as it was the closest place, but I was totally caught off guard.
