Fourth of July Moochdocking

The drive from Ephrata, PA, to our friends house in East Windsor, NJ was an easy one. We had traveled the route many times. We arrived about 2:30pm.

After setting up and getting settled, Oma (Ulrica’s Mom) took us all out to dinner to one of her favorite places, Bahama Breeze, to celebrate Kay’s birthday. Bill and I were thrilled to be included. We had a fabulous time trying all the delicious plates, and drinks, as they were passed around. Thanks again Oma for an unforgettable evening!

Friday was a flurry of activity getting ready for the arrival of the Infosino reunion attendees. Ulrica has decided on an Italian themed event, and all the decor and food options were a nod to their Italian ancestry.

Ulrica and I did errands on Saturday, including stops at the local Michaels and Joann’s. I was able to exchange some of my wrong dye-lot yarn for better matching ones. (I mentioned in a previous post about the online ordered yarn not matching the store bought ones – hence the need to look for better matching skeins)

Even considering the errands, Saturday was a quieter day. Bill went with Tony to check out the Habitat for Humanity house he worked on. Dinner was at a popular local diner, Mastoris. They are well known for their cinnamon bread and cheese bread. It was another great evening out!

Our final full day was a quiet one. Son Geoffrey had returned home from Germany late the night before and we listened as he told all of us about his trip. Friends joined us for dinner, capping off the great weekend!

Thanks again, Infosino family, for an awesome weekend!

    1. We had a small amount of rain – but nothing dampens smiles when with friends who are part of the family we choose!

  1. Once again, thank you for sharing your experiences. You show how life is special, expansive, and warm. Not to mention yummy!!

  2. Those chasers look so yummy!! What fun to spend time with warm family. We love to moochdock and sleep in our own bed after visiting in our front yard 🙂

I’m finally remembering to do my Amazon shopping through your blog!!

    1. We’ve known Tony since High School and his bride since they met in their freshman year of college, so they are truly part of the family! We also love sleeping in our own bed – which was a difficult thing to initially explain since people always offer for us to sleep inside.
Thanks for using the Amazon link! Much appreciated!
