Where Does the Time Go?

Seems I’ve gotten into a bad habit of not posting regularly. Sorry about that! I’ll drop this little post to let you all know we are alive and well.

On our way back from NJ, we stopped in Lancaster to enjoy a meal with our son.

Billy ordered Brown Chicken Stew – delish!
I think Bill had Curry Chicken

Since we’ve returned from our NJ trip, it’s been more of the same life, here in SW PA. Bill has completed a couple of installs, including our first repeat clients!

Jimmy & Christine (along with Max and Crowley) used to live in a Leisure Van, but recently switched to a much roomier Foretravel. We originally met them last year in Driggs, ID. It is a wonderful feeling, knowing our clients loved the system Bill installed for them so much, they opted to choose him a second time!

Our niece, Jaime, came and spent an extended weekend, meeting Freya for the first time. It was so good to see her!

Speaking of Freya, she has been front and center in our lives. She is so sweet! I don’t see her every single day, but definitely several times a week. Her smiles light up the room and melt my heart! Our daughter and son-in-law have had a couple of “dates,” leaving Freya with me, and Bill, for a few hours. We love having her to ourselves. She will sit and listen to short and colorful books.

Billy came for a few days, to spend time with all of us. He has come to love baby snuggles as much as the rest of us!

I’ve completed my great-niece, Avianna’s baby blanket. She found out she’s having a girl, and replied “pink!” when I asked what color blanket she wanted.

Terrible pic of me, but the blanket came out great!

Michelle came over one day and since it was hot, she brought Freya’s bathing suit and we took her to the pool. It’s a small pool, but we had it to ourselves and it was very clean and refreshing! Freya wasn’t sure what to think at first, but I think she ended up liking it!

I have started a new crochet project, but hit a major snag. I decided I wanted a new bed cover for our bed, and I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect yarn. I choose Lion Brand Thick and Quick yarn. It is quite bulky, at “size” 6. I purchased 4 skeins (all they had) at Joann’s in Johnstown, and ordered another 12 skeins online at Joann.com. This particular brand was on sale for 40% off! Awesome! The awesomeness was short-lived, however, when the dye-lots I received weren’t even close! UGH! Now what? I’ll let you know, as I’m still figuring it out myself.

The last random life happening I’ll share is we had friends stop by! We met Mikki & Jay in Quartzite, AZ back in March 2018. They were managing the campground we stayed at immediately prior to the RV Dreams Boondock Rally, and then again immediately after, while Bill did an install. They are also RV Dreamers, and, as tradition dictates, we had them over for dinner on their arrival day. They were on their way from Texas, where they were working as gate guards, to Maine, to visit family. We joined them for dinner at their place the following night – Mikki even made a delicious homemade (including the crust!) apple pie! It was so good! The Salisbury Steak was so good, I had to get the recipe! Thanks again guys for making time to stop and see us! It was great to see you!

  1. An excellent PINK blanket for Freya, she’s a cutie! Nice to see that Bill’s work is appreciated by actual customers and not just a blog follower.

  2. Nothing wrong with a lot of family time and good to see that Bill is busy with installs. Hope it does not get too humid out there for you!

    1. Thanks! The humidity is starting to come in – UGH! But we are heading to the beach next week – awesome!

  3. It’s going to be so hard to leave that little girl when you move on down the road again!! Believe me, I know :-))

Nice to have a little pool for cooling off – especially one you don’t have to take care of. Hugs to you and Bill.

    1. We just arrived in Lancaster and will be gone a month, so I’m feeling it a little already!

Since we don’t have a beach, it is nice to have a pool, especially one we don’t have anything to do besides show up!

  4. We are catching up on some email after some boondocking. Glad to hear things are going well with work and travels. I know you are enjoying the little one every chance you get. They don’t stay little for long!

    1. I know what those days are like! Some days I realize I haven’t read any blogs in a week or more, and it will take me half a day to catch up! Love spending time with my little one – she’s growing like a weed!

  5. Hey Kelly I would love that Salisbury steak recipe…been looking for a good one for While

    1. Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, I’ll look for it, it’s in my phone somewhere.
